APP SUPPORT
Support
This guide covers the iPhone app, versions 1.0.0–1.0.3. Versions 1.0.0–1.0.2 use Japanese. Version 1.0.3 adds English for iPhones that prefer English. Availability varies by storefront; check the App Store for the version available in your region. The game works without an account and keeps your progress on this device.
App language and version
Version 1.0.3 has Japanese and English interfaces. The app follows the preferred language for Bunbun Densetsu in iOS settings. Earlier versions remain in Japanese. The Japanese labels below help you find controls in either version. Historical Japanese release notes remain in their original language.
Getting started
- Lower your device volume before you begin. Sound may play even when the iPhone's silent switch is on.
- Tap 始動 (Start) on the game screen.
- Briefly press the throttle on the right, followed by the clutch on the left.
- If the sound feels delayed, try the built-in speaker or wired headphones instead of Bluetooth audio.
Play while stopped in a safe place. Do not use the app while driving or cycling.
Progress and backups
Progress and settings save automatically in the app's local storage. There is no account, automatic sync between devices, or automatic link to the browser game. The iPhone app can import a compatible record exported from the browser game as a file.
- Tap the player panel at the top of the game screen, then open 記録を守る (Protect your record).
- Choose バックアップをファイルに保存 (Save backup to a file) and select a location in the iOS Files picker.
- Wait for the confirmation that the saved file was read back and checked. Keep a copy outside the app before removing it or changing devices.
The backup is a readable, unencrypted JSON file containing your optional player name, progress and supported settings. Tilt calibration is not included. Anyone with the file can read its contents and import it into their own app, so do not publish it.
To restore, choose バックアップファイルを選ぶ (Choose backup file), review the comparison, and save a backup of the current record before confirming replacement. The records are replaced, not combined. Cancelling file selection or the safety backup leaves the current record unchanged. An import limit applies per installation and the app shows instructions if it is reached.
Record and share gameplay
On iPhone app version 1.0.1 or later, tap 録画 (Record) to make a video of up to 60 seconds from the game image and game audio. Wait until processing finishes. Choose 写真アプリに保存 (Save to Photos) to add it to Photos, or その他に保存・共有 (Save or share elsewhere) to open the iOS share sheet for Files or another app. The app does not record the camera, microphone, other apps or the iPhone screen.
If recording stops unexpectedly, check free space and audio output, then try again. Closing or locking the app, an incoming call, or a change to audio output can interrupt recording. If a diagnostic code appears, include it when contacting support. The video stays on your device unless you choose a destination or recipient.
Common questions
Why does sound play in silent mode?
Sound is the central part of the game. Lower the device volume before tapping Start, and be considerate of people nearby.
Why is there no sound?
Check the device volume and tap 始動 again. If you just used a call or another audio app, close and reopen Bunbun Densetsu.
Why is tilt control unresponsive?
Close and reopen the app, start the game, then select 傾き (Tilt) again. You can also play with taps and swipes. Tilt calibration stays on this device and must be repeated on another device.
How do I rate or review the iPhone app?
In version 1.0.2 or later, open the game menu, find 困ったとき (Help), then tap App Storeで評価・レビューを書く (Rate or review on the App Store). Reviews are optional and there is no in-game reward or custom star selector.
What happens if I delete the app?
The local record is removed and reinstalling does not restore it. Save and verify a backup file outside the app first. An iOS Keychain installation identifier may remain after removal; if the app shows もう一度はじめる, you can start fresh or import a previously saved file.
Why was the game prevented from starting?
If the app cannot verify a saved record or detects an incomplete transfer, it pauses to protect the record. Do not delete the app or clear its data. Close and reopen it, then contact support with the exact message if it persists.
